Description

MUDKIP_Mud2 (Multi User Dungeon Kool Informational Package for MUD2) is a mudlet plugin which, as the name implies, adds some Kool Informational Panels to Mudlet which might help when playing MUD2.

Key features

  • Decently sized stamina and magic bars across the bottom to graphically show you how much stamina and/or magic your persona currently has!
  • In-depth status indicators across the top of the screen, showing you all the stats about your persona right now!
    • Stamina, magic, strength, dexterity, points, status afflictions, current dreamword (if known), the weather, minutes until next reset
  • Displayed stats get updated automagically whilst playing!
    • Without flooding your screen with endless meaningless numbers!
    • and does not get in the way of your interactions with the login prompt/options menu/etc
  • Some aliases! (wow!)
    • use dword to say the dreamword (if known) to regain some stamina (to hopefully avoid dying)
      • now case-insensitive!
    • Tired of seeing the parser complain when you accidentally send the commands smiles, laughs, nods etc? MUDKIP will now automagically correct them to smile, laugh, nod etc whilst in-game!
    • (more aliases are planned to be added)
  • Automatic updates whenever a new version gets released!
  • Cool name!
  • Has been updated at some point within the past two decades!!1!

Installation

Use the following command within mudlet to install MUDKIP (and yes, it has automatic updates)

lua installPackage("https://github.com/11BelowStudio/MUDKIP_Mud2/releases/latest/download/MUDKIP_Mud2.mpackage")

(or just install it manually by downloading that file and then using the package manager within mudlet to load that downloaded package)

Usage

Please read the README on Github.

MUDKIP has been tested on the http://mudii.co.uk instance of MUD2, but has not been tested on the https://mud2.com instance of MUD2.
